Get Involved with ReROW

ReROW (Rethinking the Right-of-Way) is an interdisciplinary research cluster based at UBC, bringing together students, faculty, and community partners interested in reimagining streets, sidewalks, and public space.

We welcome participation from across disciplines and levels of study, whether you are looking to engage in research, design projects, events, or community-based work. If you are a faculty member, postdoc, or community-based researcher interested in engaging with the ReROW cluster, please email our coordinator at info.rerow@ubc.ca.


Who can join?

ReROW is open to:

  • UBC undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral students
  • Faculty members and postdoctoral researchers
  • Community-based researchers and collaborators

Students may join regardless of whether their supervisor is formally affiliated with ReROW.

  • Join the StreetSmarts Collaboratory, supporting PhD students through faculty mentorship and interdisciplinary collaboration
  • Participate in the ReROW Student Research Symposium and other student-led initiatives
  • Attend faculty research talks, workshops, IDEAthons, and networking events
  • Engage in community-based projects and education-focused research
  • Apply for ReROW Conference Support, a once-a-year microgrant for student travel or presentation funding
